What will you learn?
Your Retreat Curriculum
Property Basics
Become your very own permaculture designer. See your world with a new lens so you can spot potential in ANY property and understand how to make it come to fruitition (pun intended!).
Getting Land
Learn from our property hosts & our international guest speaker on land acquisition, funding, and creative ideas to start your journey regardless of what’s in your bank account. Ask questions from our experts, get bonus resources, and ongoing support.
Mapping
Learn to make maps so you can wisely work with your land. Harmonize with the sun, wind, and water. Learn how to survey solutions, see your land with a godlike view, and make decisions like a general.
Water
Learn how to become ridiculously efficient with water, and make it work for you. You’ll learn how to capture water from roof, land, and your house. Use your water 6 times instead of paying 6 times!
Home
No regenerative rebel wants to live in a “normie” house! Learn how to make a super home that is efficient, resilient, and cozy, no matter where you live. We cover it all – from design and construction to renovation solutions.
Utilities
Understand how the guts of your house work and how to make it even better. We cover water, power, heat, and waste, then how to back-up each system so you have peace of mind, security, and proud comfort.
Annual Food
Learn the basics to grow your own food including a crash course in botany, gardening, and more. Get vital tips and a fascinating history lesson how both gardens and civilizations flourish or collapse.
Perennial Food
Learn about perennial food systems–food that grows back every year on its own. Perennials are the hero of any permaculture system because they require less work and maintenance than annuals. You’ll also learn about wild food foraging and hunting.
Black Gold
Ditch chemical fertilizer for good! Learn how to turn ANY kind of organic “waste” into “black gold”. Create home composting systems that produces nutrient-rich soil so you can grow nutritious fruit & veg organically. (You don’t HAVE to compost your poop but I’ll teach you how. )
Animals
Birds, insects, and animals aren’t pests–they’re essential! Learn how to attract animals to pollinate, control pests, and fertilize. You’ll learn how to create bat and bird houses, how to attract bees, how to create “bug hotels”, and how to keep chickens, and even design larger animals on your property.
Community
Community can help you divide the workload, share the abundance, and create resilience & emergency preparedness. It can also boost your mental health. Learn the value of community, strategies for strengthening community, and models for creating one.
Graduation
You did it! We will have a celebration, give you a certificate, and tie everything together that you’ve learned into an actionable plan so you can bring your dream to reality. You’ll set realistic goals, learn tips, & network.

Still on the fence?
We now have clear steps to realizing our property vision and a place to start. Kenton is a patient teacher and I'm so grateful for his expert help. I highly recommend you learn from him.
I don’t really want to give 5 stars, because that signifies perfection, but I am! Kenton is passionate, engaging, and easy to follow. Thank you for stoking what has smouldered in my mind for quite a while now.
Kenton made us feel like we deserve this dream, and we can do it! We can change our lives for the better and heal the earth around us. It is rare to find someone who just fits into your plans in a bigger way than you could have EVER IMAGINED! With GREAT LOVE and GRATITUDE
Kenton will make you evaluate what is important to YOU, and then show you how to design your own solutions. That skill is invaluable. At the end of the course, you will not only have your best solution and a mentor, but a colleague and friend!
In the face of uncertain times, I saw the need to change my life, so I took Kenton's course. I learned things you didn't even know you needed to know for my house design, utilities... even legalities! Add in Kenton's sense of humor, his wealth of knowledge, and abundant passion, and you got yourself a pretty damn good time!! I wholeheartedly recommend him.
I first took Kenton's workshops on edible landscaping. They were informative, inspiring, and honestly, life-changing. Then I designed my own 100% edible landscape then turned my design into reality. His courses literally changed my life.
